  • SOLAR POWERED LEBANON

Amidst the darkness and power shortage in Lebanon, we could not stay idle and had to act quickly! Thus a Solar Power panel initiative was launched by Meghterbin Mejtemiin in partnership with Baytna Baytak to help bring power to the country. In an effort to sustainably power Lebanon, Meghterbin Mejtemiin and Baytna Baytak lanched the first phase of the Solar Panels Initiative by installing residential solar power systems up to 5 Amperes per house.  Priority of houses will initially be given to those with medical complications in need of medical supplies;  According to local statistics, at least 10,000 people in Lebanon rely on oxygen machines!  The residential solar power systems installed will mainly support the oxygen machines, fridge/freezer, television, lamps and other house electronics. This solution is also a great way to reduce carbon footprint, thus improving the air quality and reducing cancerous diseases, since it is a clean, green source of energy.

  • Together we stand by Akkar families

A large tank of fuel exploded in Akkar-Lebanon on August 15, 2021, killing at least 35 people and injuring more than 80. The disaster occurred in the midst of a severe fuel shortage crisis which has caused long power cuts all across Lebanon, threatening most sectors including healthcare. In an effort to provide relief for this disaster, Baytna Baytak, Lebanon Needs and Basecamp launched this fundraiser in order to provide livelihood support to the already struggling families of Akkar, as well as medical equipment and supplies to help save the lives of those affected by the calamity.
